Print by paint

I used a total of four blocks to create my image. For each block, I used at least 5 different colors to paint, then print my blocks. Using bokashi, I wanted to play around with value, texture, and gesture.

The first block was printed using the seven colors above.

I began to add new colors in my second block and continued to re-use and re-mix the colors used in the first block. My goal with using this color palette was to experiment with the use of warm and cool colors.

With the third and fourth block, I puzzled the missing pieces of the ribbon and also added the gestural marks around the fumbly figures.
